Summer Days

Nothing is really all that new and exciting, except that Cabela finally has a little friend to play with!! Adam (Dales brother) got a 7 week old black lab named Black Jax, Jax for short.

Most of you know already, Dale has had it kinda rough lately with his truck.  On the night of my birthday, we were driving home and a deer ran out and hit the drivers side door.  It got away, but left a big ole' dent in his truck. Well last Friday (6/8/12) Dale was in another car accident. It made the news and the paper! http://www.heraldpalladium.com/articles/2012/06/12/local_news/10334878.txt  He is perfectly fine, but the two other cars that were involved were in extremely rough shape. As far as we know they are both still in the hospital. I am so thankful that he is alright, it could have been horrible.

On a lighter note though, I have figured out what I want to do while Dale is in Canada for his fishing trip, to keep my mind off of him being gone :(...

Except, instead of painting it onto a painted canvas, I'm going to paint it onto a piece of Walnut from the job site that Dale has been working at, it's extra wood from the fireplace plus it'll be pretty neat to have something from the first house he has built from start to finish (without having to leave for school). I will post the finished product and possible a tutorial? We'll see how Martha Steward-y I'm feeling.

Pray for a safe trip to Canada for Dale, Adam, Ryder and Norm Zielke, Matt and John Maier, Dick Murphy, and Jerry Albright? I believe thats correct. 

Beautiful Days

Today was a good morning. I woke up and on my way to work found so many garage sales, which is one of my favorite things to do ever!! I think I went to like 6 or 7. I like to buy old pillows for the batting and neat looking bed sheets for fabric, since I'm broke. This is the first "good" sewing project I have finished so since I got my sewing machine for my birthday!

 This is a pin cushion and a pillow case I made too, but if you look close....many mistakes! I think pillows are my favorite (easy) thing to sew lol

So for my birthday Dale got us tickets to see the Cubs play the Tigers at Wrigely. Well the game was last night and it was soooo much fun. We both took a half day of work and went into Chicago early to shop, well so I could shop. Then went to see the Cubbies lose :(. I still had a good time, even though I sat there and poutted the last 4 innings!

We had pretty good seats!!

The Beginings

So, I have decided that I want to start blogging. It seems like a sweet way to keep record of the amazing things and people in my life. I hate scrap booking (not that I have ever tried, but you know...) so this is a way better option! I feel like all the other people I know that have blogs have so much going on in there life that it is quite interesting reading their blog. Hopefully I can entertain in that same way.


Quick update I guess, My 21st birthday was on the 1st. It was a lot of fun. Dale (my boyfriend) made my family and his family dinner! Man is he a good cook, steak and potato's, what a man! Then him and I and a bunch of our friends went to the Livery to listen to a local band that was playing, "Big Dudee Roo". After a few hours there, we all went to the Library. Both were really cool old bars. Everyone said it was a very classy 21st birthday.


So this year has probably been the most exciting for me. I have grown so much and had so many opportunities I never thought would ever happen. I got a really good job as an Administrative assistant for a relish company, yes you heard me right, Relish! It is a wonderful job with benefits and everything, I feel so grown up.

We both went skydiving for the first time!! And yep we are going again in August!

We also both got our first Turkeys!! Different days, but both around 6:30 am.

This is our puppy now!! At 13 weeks, I'm afraid shes going to be a very big doggy!
