Summers Here and Just About Gone...

I have a lot that I need to catch up on. Well first on July 27 we had a little party for my moms birthday. It was really fun! We watches the olympics in the backyard on a projector.

Yes i made that cake!

First of all I believe I finally have a viewer, yes one viewer! Thank you Liz Laparra! Speaking of Liz, last week her and my beat friend Melissa came to visit. It was truly an amazing week! I have missed them so much and it has been about 2 years since I was able to see them last!! We had so much planned for our week together. I figure pictures are a better way of describing what we did than having me write about it and probably spell 65% of the words wrong and use close to no grammar :).

We went all out for Dale's softball game!
And so did Cabela- Go #11!!

It was really sad to see them leave, but I am glad I was able to finally spend time with them after two long years!! NEVER AGAIN, will I wait that long until the next time I see them!!

Finally reaching Destination Beach- I absolutely love this picture!!

My beautiful little girl!!

So one of Mine and Dales favorite things to do is going hiking, Well now with our new addition (cabela, the dog) she likes to go to. She is so independent when we go to, we love it. She'll wander ahead, nose to ground, sniffing out whatever shes finds interesting. She is a pro at finding dead animals (I am so proud of her ::cough cough Sarcasim::)

And finally, Saturday August 18, 2012 was Dale and My 1 year anniversay! I couldn't believe it has been a year already, but then again I feel as if i have been with him forever and I love it. It has been the best year of my life and I can't even imagine finding someone any more prefect than Dale. I love you baby!

To celebrate we did a Pentatholon. We first drove to Grand Mere Park canoed around Middle Lake, then from there we biked a trail to the "Big Dune" and hiked up and down that then biked again back down the trail back to the car and canoe. Then we got the food we prepared and hiked about a mile down the beach and had a beautiful picnic! It was a wonderful day!
All packed up and ready to go.

Finding Treasures

As I was thinking about what I was going to share on my blog, I realized how dumb this is since NO ONE looks at it...yet. I am hopefully one day someone will discover me on here. But for now it's just for me and gives me something to do when I get bored at work, like now.

Dale is back from Canada now and I could not be happier!! It was seriously the longest 9 days of my life, probably because there was NO contact. Also because I was jealous of how much fishing he got to do! While he was gone Jan and I had to take care of the puppies. In my head I thought this was going to be an easy task! Well I was sooo wrong!! Jax is the cutest puppy ever, but he pooped more than 4 new born babies!! Oh and he isn't potty trained so it was alwaysss in his kennel! Cabela always wanted to play with Jax, it was cute at first but then surprisingly Jax would trump Cabela and make her bleed! It was pure insanity for about 9 days, but we made it and I still love them! (maybe a littttttle less :))

I haven't really done any projects lately, I've had no time but the wooden deer picture is making slow progress. Right now I am on such a garage sale kick!! I have found some of the coolest stuff ever. I just wish I had a huge house to decorate instead of a smallish room.

Some of my finds:
cookie tray

Tea pot, but it's going to be a planter!

An old painting ladder that is now a book case.

I am soooo pumped! My two best friends are coming to visit me in about 3 weeks!! Melissa, who is from Pennsylvania and Liz, who is from North Carolina!! We have started a board on Pintrest with all the things we want to see and do while they are here!! I haven't seen them in about 2 years, it is super exciting for me. They also get to meet Dale for the first time, which I already know they are going to love him.
Saturday was Cara's (Dale's sister) Birthday, so she took a bunch of us to Chicago to go on a Segway tour of downtown Chicago! It was so much fun. I was really scared at first, but it was really quite easy after I got the hang of it ( like 3 mins). It was 3 hours total and actually kind of tiring. We all said we felt like we were hit by a bus the next morning.

That's all I have for now!!
OH! I love this picture and I want to so desperately be where ever this is!
